What's in store for Darkfall Online

Gaming News

Recently, a Q&A was done between Aventurine and the community, regarding future plans for Darkfall Online. It's fair to say that Q&A was severely lacking in detail, and the community certainly vented it's disapproval at the enigmatic developers.

To their credit, Aventurine have provided a follow up to that Q&A which is much more expansive and detailed in it's content. It's a great read, and some of the features talked about are quite exciting. Here's the copy/paste:

What a night guys! First of all, BIG thanks to all who made it on for the hunt. Everybody did their jobs beutifully and if it wasn't for DF pulling the bung out of our schooner, twice, I am sure the hunt would have been even more lucrative that it was.

I was a little nervous about the new strategy but after the first Kraken went down it was as though we had sailed the seas of Agon our whole lives. Unfortunately as we were scouting the fourth kraken, Darkfall decided to remove our ships bung and it sunk with no warning. Leaving us floating on the tide. After contacting a GM we were eventualy all back on the ship and not 30 seconds later we were hit by a Kraken. We were trying to position it for the kill when once again our ship disappeared. This time leaving us all in the water with a 30%hp very, very angry Kraken.

To sum up the first 48 hours or so - FUN. This game is completely different when you're clanless. My first "quest" was how to return to the mainland. I decided to take a ride to Kryzerok and hop on the Portal train to Aer Tithil. Withstanding zap towers at Kryz and AT wasn't a big issue and soon enough I was out of range in the lush green fields of Mirdain territory.

Now what?

Most of us know that our alliance has fallen apart through no fault of our own. It was just stupid shit that the other clans could not sort out because they were too busy bitching at eachother all day. Why am I pointing this out you might ask? Because while all that crap was happening begind the scenes, Bushrangers were doing all Aussies proud!
